Last week CCMS/HS celebrated a Week Without Hate, which is a national movement to "promote nonviolence, unity and respect in schools." Each day, a different organization or group sponsored awareness for issues such as bullying, suicide, substance abuse and school violence. Thanks to CCHS Student Government for organizing this week's events and hosting the pep assembly on Thursday, as well as MS StuGov, Mountain Youth Network, YL, Interact and NHS for participating.

This year students imagined their lives 20 years in the future, stepped into the role of event planners to host the CCHS Career Fair, and prepare to practice their interview skills with real business professionals. Career Connections students will engage in mock interviews at CCHS on May 9th. Students will have an opportunity to show off their resumes and answer common interview questions. Some students are polishing their job seeking skills intending to join the workforce after graduation, some are seeking summer jobs, and others are building confidence as they prepare for college. Please view the attached letter from Interim Superintendent Mike Gass, outlining the Principal selection process and how you can participate.

1) Full closure of the westbound I-70 off ramp to County Road 65 - 7 a.m. Monday, April 22 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 25 as part of construction for the US 40 & Floyd Hill Roundabouts Project. The detour will be to use the El Rancho Exit instead. 2) Traffic holds on US 40 between Homestead Road and US 6 - starting Monday, April 29 and lasting Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the first two weeks of May. Expect traffic holds of up to 10 minutes. It is recommended that people use I-70 instead. 3) Full closure of the Homestead Road on-ramp to westbound I-70 - Timing is still being determined for this work, which is part of the US 40 & Floyd Hill Roundabouts Project. They are looking at late April into early May and could coincide with the US 40 traffic holds mentioned above.
